Books Alive is the biggest annual promotion of books and reading in Australia with a very simple aim – to get more people reading. I am thrilled to be this year’s Books Alive ambassador and looking forward to touring the country in August, meeting readers, librarians and booksellers.
My new novel BOMBPROOF is my offering to the campaign. It’s a fast, funny, hip and violent caper through London’s underworld following the fortunes of Sami Macbeth, a man with the unrivalled ability to turn a desperate situation into a hopeless one.

ABOUT BOOKS ALIVE
What is Books Alive?
Now in its sixth year, Books Alive is the biggest annual promotion of books and reading in Australia. It is a month long, nationwide Australian Government initiative adminstered by the Australia Council for the Arts.
What is the aim of Books Alive?
The aim is simple: to encourage all Australians to read more books for pleasure.
How does Books Alive work?
Each year, Books Alive promotes 50 books with broad appeal to encourage lapsed and infrequent people to rediscover the pleasures of reading. The list of 50 books is published in a guide '50 Books You Can't Put Down', which is distributed through books retailers, public libaries and, this year, through News Limited Sunday newspapers across Australia on July 27.
The guide is full of remarkable books, ranging across general fiction, crime, romance, cooking, history, biographies, war and books for children of all ages, including the very young.
When you purchase one of these books you will receive a brand new limited edition copy of BOMBPROOF, a fast and funny action thriller written for adults.
